Dusk CBD and CBN Sleep Tincture

Each 1-ounce bottle is made with more than 300 mg of full spectrum cannabinoids and a calming terpene blend of Myrcene, B-Caryophyllene, Linalool, and Citral.

Over the course of two years, we tested, tried, and ingested as many cannabinoid-based products as possible. Mostly because we wanted to, but also because it’s our job. Dusk is tested for potency, contaminants, and quality three times before being packaged and shipped to you, and is both 3rd-party and batch tested. Every bottle of Dusk comes stamped with a unique lot number which you can use to look up the test results of your specific batch. How do I use Dusk?

Squeeze about a dropper's worth under your tongue before brushing your teeth. Wait 30 seconds. Swallow. Brush your teeth. Put your phone in another room. Go to bed.

If you want to take more, take more. If you want to take less, that’s fine, too. Everybody (and every body) is different.

What should I expect?

How and when you see the benefits of taking Dusk depends on a number of factors, including how fast your metabolism works and how much you weigh. Most people will feel a difference immediately, but for others, it could take a few of a consistent nightly regimen, so please be patient (and consistent). CBD works best when taken regularly, the same way you would a vitamin or supplement. 

Will Dusk get me high?

Unlike THC, neither CBD nor CBN are psychotropic or intoxicating, so for better or worse, you will not be getting high tonight.

What are CBD and CBN?

Brace yourself, the prefix “canna-” is used a lot here. CBD (cannabidiol) and CBN (cannabinol) are cannabinoids. All humans (and all vertebrates, actually) have what is called an endocannabinoid system (or ECS, for short.) Your ECS is made up of receptors found throughout your body—in places like your brain, spinal cord, and digestive system, among others—which help keep your internal systems in balance. (Science calls this “homeostasis.”) These receptors respond to cannabinoids—both ”endogenous” ones that humans produce and “exogenous” ones that we get from greenery, like, say, cannabis.

What does CBD do?

Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating (read: it won’t get you high). CBD also operates a little differently. Instead of binding directly to your ECS receptors, it merely stimulates them, which in turn impacts how other cannabinoids bind to those receptors—and how your body reacts to them. Preliminary research shows CBD is effective in modulating pain and decreasing anxiety, both of which go a long way toward some of CBD’s other benefits, like sleep and relaxation. It’s also a potent anti-inflammatory.

What does CBN do?

Cannabinol (or “the other CB,” as nobody says) is what happens when THC is oxidized. That’s a multisyllabic way of saying “gets old”. CBN has powerful sedative properties, which is why when most people turn to CBD, what they might really want is CBN. Or, more specifically, a CBD product formulated with increased amounts of CBN—such as Dusk. 

I’ve heard people talk about the “entourage effect.” What is it?

The “entourage effect” is when cannabinoids work in concert to increase their therapeutic benefits and effects. Think of it as the cannabinoid version of “it takes a village.” It’s also why we recommend full spectrum products (not just ours) over isolate ones.

How much CBD, CBN, and THC is there in Dusk?

Every bottle of Dusk contains 1140 mg of CBD, 182 mg of CBN, and 28 mg of THC, as well as CBC, CBDV, and CBG. You can find a full cannabinoid breakdown in our COA below.

How many doses are there in Dusk?

A suggested dose of Dusk is approximately 0.75 ml, or about three-quarters of a dropper, which works out to about 40 doses per bottle. Some people take less (~0.5 ml) and some people take more! Generally speaking, each bottle of Dusk should last you one to two months, assuming you're taking it every night.

Why a tincture?

One of the most efficient ways to take CBD is sublingually. But this doesn’t mean just taking a dropperful and swallowing it. As we say in our directions, you should hold it under your tongue for at least 30 seconds (and ideally 60) for maximum absorption, and then swallow. Ingesting CBD directly (in food or drink) means processing it through your liver, and you can lose up to 70% of the active cannabinoids that way.
